Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! I know this is the time of year when we start thinking of all the leftover things that we didn't do from the year before and think about all the things that we will do going forward. Here's my take on the New Year: of course, I'm all for planning, vision boards, creativity, setting goals and so much more, but truly I started this process the year prior and will continue moving forward with intention and positivity for years to come. My original start date was years ago and it's been an incredible trip ever since with each year being a continuous motion, learning to enjoy the presentness of each moment as I evolve.   My life is sorta like a game a double dutch, jumping in, adding moves, continuous flow and having fun.  I say this because 2016 was one hell of a year. I resigned from my job, started a business, attended more events (both fun and educational) than I'd ever attended in my life, my daughters went through different phases all at the same time and I wasn't able to be with them during the process, I gave myself permission to feel, I was overwhelmed, had health issues, read enough self-help books to where I felt like Oprah on steroids, became somewhat of a hermit when things were really tough, but through it all I was loved unconditionally by my family and friends so that I emerged from my struggles slowly but definitely. I learned more about myself and what I wanted out of life, I let go of perfection, I expanded my mind, I learned another language, I learned about different cultures, I ate great food, I visited wonderful places, I almost finished school (that accounting class, hmmmm not yet haha). I'm saying all of that to say this, reflect on your past year, not as a bunch of what you could have or should have done, but one as practice for what is ahead! Look for all the things both good and not so good, and give yourself credit for the growth and for the experience. Go forward with a strong intent to jump in, add moves, stay in a continuous flow and enjoy being present in each moment. To all my readers, I love you and I wish great things for you in the upcoming year and beyond!
